I've never been involved in any unions so I can't help you there. But, I have been doing "carpentry" for nearly half my life. I can share some anecdotal insights from my perspective.
I’m actually interested in framing, and possibly working my way up to management or logistics in the long term. I would love to shadow a project like a house or a deck but I have no idea how to go about that.
I agree with prstand, get into construction electrical or better yet electronics ( different course) , your options for work environments is endless and you can get into some pretty heavy stuff. I went from wiring houses, to power plants, oil sands crusher and now I'm wiring war ships, it's been fun.
I actually don’t have a lot of experience with electrical work, but I’ve looked a bit into that as well. Is it mainly instillation or do you have to actually build circuits?
I asked if they ever plan to play 6969 live.
