  1. Much easier and more powerful to practice Qabala without Thelema…

  2. Not trying to offend anyone here, but i don't think the OP or some of the replies to this actually understand what the LBRP does and what its for. The LBRP doesn't "summon" any spirits, it doesn't even banish spirits (despite what the name implies), its a very basic "internal" ritual practice, designed to clear your OWN negative energies in preparation for other rituals, the same is true for its "cousin" the BRH (or lesser ritual of the Hexagram). You usually need to learn both if you join a mystery school (Ordo Templi Orientis for an example), so you can undergo more advanced forms of ritual magick that DO work with invoking spirits/Intelligences, but on its own the LBRP cannot possibly cause such things lol.

  3. Eh, not so sure. Regular practice of LBRP certainly clears space for me, at least well as sage or whatever. And the invoking of the archangels is real invocation, with lasting protective effect on space.

  4. First of all, rude lol. It "clears space" for you because its removing your own negative energy, if you tried to clear an actual spirit from a location (or yourself) with the LBRP it wouldn't work, because that's not what it was designed for. The LBRP was designed and put into practice by the Hermetic order of the Golden Dawn in the late 19th century, it was created to be a required ritual for neophytes (lowest rank of their order) to learn before progressing to anything greater, they never once claimed it was a ritual that was capable of banishing spirits (they did actually have those kinds of rituals, and they are FAR more complex than the LBRP), they never once claimed it was capable of conjuring/invoking archangels either (this is something you see people who practice enochian and other forms of angelic magick do, and its an insanely profound experience, one you can't get from the LBRP), you are simply misinterpreting the ritual. The entire ritual of the LBRP is based on enochian, elemental and qabalistic symbolism, each Archangel represents an element, and a position or "tower" at each corner of a table/room/universe etc, that's why they are present in the LBRP, not because you are actually invoking them. Go and look up the various methods to ACTUALLY invoke an angel (nevermind an Archangel), and you will see the requirements for such a thing, you need to fast, abstain from sexual activity etc for AT LEAST a week prior, and usually also follow other bizzare requirements that are usually dependent on the Angel you want to contact, and the variation of "angelic magick" you are using.

  5. Pretty sure I know as much or more than you, and still think you're being a pompous twit.

  6. This is masonic, surely? Not the letters, but the medal itself?

  7. How is this even betong recorded.. where is the camera mounted. Black magic?

  8. How actually WAS this filmed? Drone? Does not seem possible. All fake? A good job if so.

  9. 360 camera like the Insta360 One X2.

  10. Gotcha, thanks. Clever tech, new to me.

  11. Thank you for sharing. I’ll contribute my piece and leave it at that. Preface: I’m not saying I have it all figured out. It also needs to be stated that this is just a view into my path, and certainly does not diminish or invalidate anyone else's experience. I hate typing all that crap, but I’ve seen too many topics about Guardian Angels devolve into people trying to push their view of the topic onto others at the detriment of productive discussion.

  12. It's true that you 'turn the Latin letters into Hebrew letters' then work out values. But, and it's a big but, there are inevitably plenty of decisions to make re: vowels, doubled letters, which particular Hebrew letters translate which particular Latin letters, whether to use final form values, etc. Two aspiring qabalists trying to work out English gematria with complete sincerity can easily arrive at far different values for particular words. Not a huge deal, it's part of the game. IMO, Crowley often decided on the value he wanted and then pushed the gematria as needed to get that value.

  13. It was Liber Samekh. The recordings mentioned in CT were produced by John Lilly. More info in High Weirdness by Erik Davis.

  14. Didn’t know about that book! Great recommendation. So it goes into detail about the rituals used and so on?

  15. It goes into more detail about Wilson's context at the time, and the influx of weirdness that developed after, but not much more about the actual ceremony. Same book also does deep dives into Philip K. Dick and Terence McKenna. Great stuff.

  16. It was totally a sign from the beyond that you are a powerful witch and you should start a coven.

  17. Haven't you got your own thing going Cyber-Jesus?

  18. Some differences certainly, but plenty of overlap and if HQ is watered down someone did an extremely poor job of it. And the whole idea behind "wrong appropriation" is plain old bullshit.

  19. To truly know the Kabbalah you must be called to do it. It takes decades of dedication and commitment.

  20. Awesome—thanks for settling this important issue.

  21. Do LBRP morning and evening for 30 days, address archangels (pray) for improvement.

  22. FWIW, I have found that leaning into ritual in daily practice, and in particular, adding in Stele Jeu, is a good way to amp up "emotion and will power" in any particular spell.

  23. What version of English Qabala is being used here? Lam/God is 24 and not 26?

  24. What in the world are you talking about? No 'items' needed.

  25. A bunch of similar posts were made by the same user, all but one were removed. Anti karma farming measures.

  26. Well you're kind of an anti-democratic shit, aren't you.

  27. Jung and the Tarot by Sallie Nichols covers the Major Arcana and is so rich in analysis. It has helped me see the archetypes in my day to day life. I got my non spiritual fiancé to read it and even he thought it was fascinating. Also, I’m loving seeing what everyone else is recommending too!

  28. The Red Lion: The Elixir of Eternal Life

  29. As a next book on Qabala, I'd go with Dion Fortune rather than Mathers. Or do some experimentation with the spellwork and gematria described in DuQuette, see what happens. Effort made with what you know will lead to insights that will make it easier to learn more.
