Vielleicht hatte er sogar eine gute Erinnerung an den Geruch, etwa weil ein Keiler kurz vor Stalingrad die letzte warme Fleischmahlzeit für lange Zeit gewesen ist — wer weiß das schon.

Warum? „I kriagert an Kaffee, bittschön“ ist eine ganz normale und sehr höfliche Art, im bairischsprachigen Raum eine Tasse Kaffee zu bestellen.
Im Dialekt gesprochen klingt das für meine alemannischen Ohren nicht nach Kriegserklärung, sondern tatsächlich sehr höflich. Zumal ich kriagert als bekäme (wenn Sie so freundlich wären) verstehe. — Aber danke für die Ergänzung.
