  1. To support Roman, you can follow him on his Twitter:

  2. You should ask him to put his Venmo/PayPal/Zelle etc on his twitter and instagram so those that want to support him can.

  3. He should also set up an Amazon wish list for people around the world to send to him and his compatriots!

  4. It's a good idea! But there's no Amazon in Ukraine unfortunately ๐Ÿ˜

  5. This is Roman Trokhymets. He was online today, so he is alive and well!

  6. i will be driving from uk... so they may not be an option i have a client in uk that manufactures them so i will see if i can get a donation

  7. Oh that's a looong drive! And a good idea to contact the manufacturer. Maybe this picture will help:

  8. yep it takes me around 30 hours this will be the 4th time i did it....i ususally grab a couple of hours sleep in poland and then stop for the night near Rivny..depending on the border crossing time

  9. Thank you very much for your support! Everyone in Ukraine is very grateful! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ If you come by in Kyiv, let's meet up. I will try to organize a small war trophy and souvenir for you, if interested ๐Ÿ™‚ I'll be here coming 3 weeks and then again sometime this summer (difficult to plan with the war).

  10. I consider you a sister country now. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

  11. Thank you very much for supporting Ukrainian projects! Yes, it's also just liking and subscribing that goes a long way ๐Ÿ™‚ we hope in our project Voices for Ukraine, we can find more Ukrainians like Roman who are committed to make regular videos to show the world what's going on. At the end of the day, a real and concrete authentic person and his or her destiny is more relatable than abstract politics. Thank you once again for supporting Ukraine from so far away! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช

  12. Relatability is so important. We're not so different across the world. We would fight to protect our homes and loved ones too. It's why our hearts break watching this all unfold.

  13. Thank you very much for your kind words! Let's hope so! ๐Ÿ™

  14. Roman was online today, so he is fine! In this clip you can see why it's worth holding Bakhmut for such a long time. Not just Roman's unit, but many Ukrainian units are removing invaders much faster than in other locations. Yes, Ukrainians also die, but not in such big numbers as the invaders.

  15. Iโ€™m with you on checking multiple times a day if heโ€™s ok; thank you for alleviating our worries with these updates. I wish Roman all the chocolate bars his heart desires.

  16. Thank you! He was online today not long ago! He doesn't know when is his next mission but the counter offensive might be big.

  17. Yeah Iโ€™m excited about the next push *whenever that is ๐Ÿ˜œ * I know heโ€™s back at it since the concussion, but I really hope he takes it easy. If heโ€™s given a break, I hope he takes it. Then again, I know it must be validating to take part in whatever is happening whenever it happens. I just follow his account on Facebook and wish the best for him. Heโ€™s a bright light in a dark world. Be well and Slava ukraini

  18. Absolutely, it's a crazy situation with important months ahead. Let's hope Ukraine can asap cut through Russia's southern defense to cut off Crimea. This cut end the war quickly. And of course let's hope Roman and as many Ukrainians as possible will survive! Heroyam Slava!

  19. Is this a current video or is this from before the concussion? I know he had held a few videos toward the end of that last rotation.

  20. Thank you for your support! Roman has a Gen2+ night vision for now. Itโ€™s not ideal, but better than nothing. And he still plans to buy a better equipment. I talked today with another Ukrainian who has a license to improve night vision from the US, but it's not so easy.

  21. Hdmk says:

Thanks, signed! A little secret I have to keep from my Russian family ๐Ÿคญ Slava Ukraini!

  22. Thank you very much! We highly appreciate it. You can see in the Patreon when you scroll through the exclusive Patreon videos on where the money is going. And of course you'll be able to visit the emotional support animal facility when we finish making it ๐Ÿ™‚ Heroyam slava!!

  23. We thought that in order for Western support to continue it's important that Ukrainians (ideally also English-speaking soldiers) regularly update Westerners about how it really is at the front. Psychologically, humans don't care so much about abstract information ("12 dead today in a russian strike"), but more so about concrete people like Roman.

  24. Any chance we can get people in contact with the team at the Battleground Ukraine podcast? They've gotten to #1 history podcast on the UK charts and could really help get the word out. Roman's English is so good he'd be a great interview... only issue is his current posing makes recording problematic :/

  25. Thank you! Please send me a private message ๐Ÿ™‚

  26. I can but i just wanna make clear that i'm not affiliated with the show at all - hope it didn't come across like that. Just a member of their patreon.

  27. No worries! Yes, feel free to message them and simply send them this link here of the reddit post and if they are interested, they can write us :-)

  28. I know there are thousands and thousands doing exactly what Roman is doing, but Iโ€™m happy to see he is physically ok.

  29. 100% - Roman is like a symbol for other Ukrainian soldiers. There are 10000s just like him, and I literally mean his motivation and determination.

  30. I wonder how many russians this guy has exterminated? My guess is mid 100โ€™s

  31. I asked him this too. He wouldn't give me a number and he an interesting reason, but I don't wanna spoil it. We could do some sort of AMA if anyone is interested (?)

  32. I am not sure if this guy is even capable of having a bad mood. It is the kind of guy you need in your squad.

  33. True, but it's not just him. I have seen some of his fellow friends. They all have a good mood ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ™‚

  34. Just chatted with Roman. He is well and alive!

  35. He is single haha If I were you I'd comment on his Instagram regularly, ideally with a convincing profile picture ๐Ÿ˜€ But let him focus on the war first. Bakhmut is in a critical situation.

  36. Thank you very much for supporting Ukraine!

  37. got a better link? the 240p quality is lackluster to say the least

  38. This wasn't made by professionals. We're not professionals. There are also other things in the clip that are not very good, but the message is what we want to bring across.

  39. The list of Ukrainians I wanna buy a beer starts with this guy! His viewpoint on life is unstoppable.

  40. Roman is from Kyiv and hopefully we will all meet up for beers! After the war, we already told Roman many times that he has to survive because we will all meet with internationals who will travel to Ukraine so he can share his stories.

  41. Yes, even now you can come to Ukraine by land without visa (for up to 90 days) if you are from a blue country:

  42. What's the PayPal link to Romain's unit ? I want to order them some pizza or ammo or anything that he and his unit can put to good use.

  43. Please tell Roman he and his team are teaching the world for generations to come what it is to stand against fascism, tyranny and evil. Ukraine is making itโ€™s own legends here and now for generations. They are the heroes of our time. Make evil weep Roman, the eyes of democracy and good are upon you, and our hearts are with you.

  44. Thank you! Roman reads the comments here. I always send him the links. It gives him and his crew a morale boost (he translates some comments) ๐Ÿ™‚

  45. Orc_ says:

shouldnt he keep quiet about such troop movements though?

  46. The clip was made 3 days ago or so. When uploaded yesterday the counter-offensive was successful ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

  47. Makes me wonder if he's been training over here, must be part of basic military training instructing on how to make a cuppa.

  48. He wasn't abroad for the trainings. He was already fluent beforehand. Since day 1 of the full-scale invasion Roman volunteered. So unfortunately for us fans and friends he is really skilled and experienced as a sniper at the front (hence it's unlikely he will be sent and trained for something else, but who knows), but fortunately for Ukraine they have 10,000s skilled and motivated ones like Roman vs 100,000s of unskilled invaders.

  49. This is from a children's home in Lviv made for you!

  50. ะกะปะฐะฒะฐ ะฃะบั€ะฐั—ะฝั–! ๐Ÿ˜

  51. ะ“ะตั€ะพัะผ ัะปะฐะฒะฐ! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

  52. We would have uploaded this earlier, but it took some time to translate it. It's a big tragedy on what is going on in Turkey and Syria and we thought it's important to send this message out. Turkey didn't only help with the Bayraktar drones, but also provided a lot of humanitarian aid with food trucks all over Ukraine going to places which were leveled down by russian attacks. Roman will later also upload this to his Twitter where it can hopefully reach more Turkish people (who use Twitter). If you know any Turkish people who you think these words might be a small moral help, feel free to share it with them. Thank you!

  53. There are reports that Turkey are also supplying western technology/components to RuZZia, playing both sides (as they do). What do you think about this?

  54. Well, this is complicated but then again: The destruction looks eerily similar to the destruction in Ukraine and just like in Ukraine the people affected are 100,000s of civilians. Of course you can argue that ErdoฤŸan makes mistakes along the way (many), but overall I'd argue that Turkey is an ally of Ukraine interested in peace and well aware of Russian past aggression and expansion (Wars between the Ottoman and the Russian Empire). They might not say it so directly but what happened in 2014 Turkey also didn't approve (for instance on what happened to the Muslim Tatar indigenous population which under Ukraine had much more freedoms). Hence, also according to Turkey, Russia needs to fully leave Ukraine.

  55. I think the whole point of these videos, which the ZCU must be permitting, is to facilitate the world seeing Ukrainian soldiers as more than mindless fighters.

  56. Well, there's not really an agenda or "big" plan. We are just normal guys. The ZSU has no time to think about warfare on the Internet, so we do it. Everyone is doing something what he or she can do.

  57. Ukrainians have been so creative in making contact with the world and motivating people around you to support. Roman is an excellent choice as one of your ambassadors! Keep calm stay focused, carry on. I chipped in some money for a new car near Bakhmut , but you guys stole my heart.

  58. Thank you very much for your support! Highly appreciated! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

  59. To give you some context: Roman has 11+ months sniper experience from the front and cleaned already a lot!

  60. Thank you very much! Highly appreciated! ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚

  61. If you want to support Roman (there are also fighting clips), feel free to follow him here:

  62. You can follow Roman and see how he is doing through his daily Instagram stories:

  63. Thank you, I followed him and several other accounts.๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

  64. Thank you very much! Your support for Ukraine is highly appreciated! ๐Ÿ™‚

  65. This is a direct follow-up to this short clip (when the attack started, you can see it around the middle of the clip):
