  1. There are a lot of exotic hardwoods that have unique colors.

  2. *vote every conservative out of office, including all Republicans and right leaning Democrats.

  3. What does it take for Democrats to actually charge and jail Republicans? At this point if Republicans declared war and started Holocausting Democratic politicians I'm pretty sure 80% of them would give speeches about how important bipartisan support is.

  4. Nowadays pretty much all kills are from the attacker not even being spotted. Dog fight combat maneuvers aren't really useful at all but for air shows they are nice.

  5. Like 99% of all combat has always been the defender never knowing what came. Even in WWI/WWII days.

  6. People don't want Trump because he's an evil and corrupt shitbag. People don't want Biden because he's a "Democrat".

  7. FiveThirtyEight now predicts Boston in 9

  8. Forward Defense goes reeeeeeee

  9. Sadly F35 can’t fly during lightning storms, and does not have 3-D thrust vectoring just like SU-57

  10. I woulda thought tankies would start going extinct based off of Ukraine...

  11. Wait. An F-35 in the air. What dark magicks is this

  12. There's over 800 of these in operation around the globe. It's literally the second most ubiquitous plane, only outdone by the F-16.

  13. Aluminum can or a coffee maker.

  14. if there is any state that deserves it, it is without a fucking doubt Ohio

  15. Please un-gerrymander that place

  16. Better meme if you include "+1000 RHA" on every comparison

  17. Agreed. I've nearly doubled the number of tickets/points I put away in a sprint and so has the rest of my team.

  18. I work in IT as well, and "WFH" really just means "pick how you want to work". My company let's us work entirely from home or come into the office. In a similar vein productivity is through the roof.

  19. Well, it's what the idiots on

  20. Their solutions are currently:

  21. I own firearms, and absolutely. They should ban that shit. Especially all semi-automatics. Pistols are a much larger problem than long rifles, and people should view them in the same group as AR-15s.

  22. Why's this even a hot take? It's all but confirmed at this point. We just need to push the red button and prove the hypothesis

  23. That was… a basketball game. Curious to see how we react. An offense consisting of Poole, Curry, Klay, and Wiggins is fucking tough. We can’t shoot like shit, and can’t be making dumb turnovers or fucking up 3pt plays. Little room for error with that offense on the other side.

  24. Warriors had a lot of adjustments too. Wiggins stayed home, they didn't conceed switches to curry or poole easily (suns let switches to CP3 very easily). They also ran the box and one, which seemed to work as well. Traps on Luca were frequent, far more so than the suns series. It looks like the mavs need to figure out some actions for Dinwiddie or some other players to run besides Luca or Brunson. Even Brunson's sets were essentially just isolations backing down his defender. The warriors love it when you do that because they have a bunch of strong defenders. Curry had a couple blocks/strips as well. Isolating/posting up isn't going to be a consistent way of beating GS. On offense they attacked Luca, but immediately instead of giving him time to switch off. GS used their free flowing offense to continuously attack rather than wait for an isolation against a specific player. This was effective in drawing help and collapsing the defense.

  25. They get forced to consider walkability or public transit in their housing choices. Cities can then start building trains which are actually sustainable (not EVs).

  26. Seriously. I started working in my parents garage with just a $300k loan from them. That first business failed, but I was able to build a business that's breaking even with a second chance through my dad's connection. A little elbow grease and networking will get you there, seize the day! #hardwork

  27. I mean, this is actually solid advice. If only everyone had this option

  28. Always has been a dumpster fire. Oh, except for that one period of unprecedented success created by FDR

  29. The solution to housing is in zoning laws, not science/technology. Remove zoning requirements for single family homes, large lawns, garage/parking spaces, etc. Start using extensive city planning centered around increasing density, walk ability, and public transit (trains).

  30. Putin learns of secret plot by Putin to assassinate Putin.

  31. https://youtu.be/vm1U5E44W90

  32. Because it is not serious. Russia knows fully well that a nuclear war is unwinnable. They may believe their threats sound scary and belligerent, but to the rest of the world their threats sound like they are frightened and hysterical. The Russian administration has made monumental miscalculations from the very start of this war, they clearly have a massively exaggerated view of their own power and abilities (and indeed their place in the world). They clearly think they are a lot scarier than they actually are. This war has exposed their rhetoric as the prattling of fools. I suspect that if Putin ordered a nuclear strike then he would rapidly end up with a bullet in him. If he ordered a limited nuclear strike on Ukraine then he would lose whatever good will he has left from the authoritarian despots of the world (the only ones who still show him good will). If he launched a general nuclear war, well we're all dead anyway. No one wins. Far from proving Russia is a superpower, it would reduce Russia to slag. But the idea that the rest of the world must do what Putin says or else he'll just start nuclear armageddon, well that's pathetic. It looks like panicking.

  33. Unlikely that everyone dies in a nuclear war. There are a lot less missiles and systems deployed than people think. Also, a tiny fraction of those systems are ballistic missiles, most are air dropped bombs. Combine the vast expanses of NATO, missile/air defenses, Russia military equipment, and the far more capable NATO stockpile, NATO would very much "win" a nuclear war. Most of Russia would get glassed, while probably millions in NATO would die. But not all of NATO, or even a majority. There would also be grave impacts to the planet and ecosystems, but humanity would still survive is my point. The only country/government that would not survive is Russia. That needs to be made abundantly clear.

  34. That’s the only part of this that makes sense. While it’s obviously not a guarantee that they won’t twist themselves into a pretzel to justify wrongly invalidating law, they understand what they’re doing and it’s a willful action.

  35. Excellent point, although I will point out that conservatives have been pushing the "qualified" part by placing partisan hacks on the court that don't really abide by the law or even care about it. The Bar Association doesn't want to diminish it's credibility by stripping these lawer's qualifications, except in extreme circumstances, but the amount of conservative BS is really getting insane.

  36. I keep wondering. Did Germany ever actually send anything or do they just keep planing and mulling? Like with those AA system they keep planing to decide to probably plant to send?
