From my point of view, maybe the black areas on the darkest part of the suit are darker than the darker areas of the columns! I believe that if you adjust the black point on one of them will integrate them better. Sorry for my english!
Your English is perfect and you're right! The depth pass I used for atmosphere in Nuke wasn't set up properly, so it caused that, nicely spotted! Thanks :)
