We took our kids to the Tap and Barrel on Granville island (old Bridges location) after spending the day at the kids markets there and it was very successful. The have a kids menu, a great view, and service was great. Food was ok.

The only thing I’ll point out is that the Muppet performers have generally resisted the idea of other puppeteers playing their characters except under exceptional circumstances (like Frank Oz personally selecting the performer for Fozzie and Ms. Piggy when he couldn’t be present for filming of Treasure Island). Having random park employees aping their characters to dubbed dialogue would definitely violate the mindset that Henson and Co. engendered. It also takes a LOT of training and experience to properly do that kind of puppeteering so having some rando doing it would be a bit insulting to the people who spend their entire career working to make these characters come alive. That’s my main hesitation with anything live with the Muppets.
If you’ve ever watched a live show at Disney you’d know that they don’t use random cast members for productions.
I saw when the Muppets performance at the Hollywood Bowl a few years back and it was an amazing experience but yeah, I don't think it's something that could be accomplished by Disney cast-members without years of training.
Look up YouTube videos of the Muppets in Liberty Square in Disney World, or the Muppets at the Disneyland Christmas party’s from a few years ago. They’re amazing and proves that it can absolutely be done, especially if the voices are all pre recorded.
