Ladies, what's your go-to comfort movie?

  1. Awww this is one of mine!! I like listening to audiobooks as I fall asleep and currently listening to Pride and Prejudice, the version read by Rosamund Pike (aka: Jane Bennett!)

  2. This one came to my mind immediately too, just watched it again last week and it's just so comfortable and never fails to make me feel good.

  3. I second BOTH of these. I could probably recite the whole of Stardust's script word for word I've watched it so many times.

  4. Either Sleepless in Seattle or You've Got Mail. Both those movies make so happy when I'm happy or sad. Which reminds's about time I watch it.

  5. Honestly, The Twilight movies. They’re so badly done, but I love the music. It’s just cheesy, funny, and gushy. It’s what I need when I’m feeling down.

  6. Same! I was obsessed with the books but rolled with laughter at the movies. Now they’re a firm nostalgic favourite to remind me of my teen years. So good because they’re so dramatically bad. I love every single one of them.

  7. Not a movie, but I watch Golden Girls on repeat for years. Makes me think of my Mom and her giggles when she watched it. Depends on my mood, sometimes I get into Shawshank Redemption, anything Morgan Freeman narrates will bring me instant comfort, but Shawshank is my favorite.

  8. The first Harry Potter. Give me a box of tissues and a blanket and I'm a happy woman. I tear up about every five minutes from the heavy nostalgia and love for the books though, so only sit next to me if you're feeling brave

  9. I love watching Schitts Creek if I feel like watching a show. But I love Bend it like Beckham, Harry Potter Series or a Disney film or tv show

  10. The Labyrinth. I dream of wearing an ornate gown and dancing with a prince at a masquerade ball. I also don't like my brother. Sue me

  11. The Labyrinth 😌 it's been my favorite / comfort movie since I rented it on VHS when I was twelve. I love it to bits and I used to watch it almost weekly, but now it's mostly just comfort - time.

  12. The main two I alternate between have already been mentioned here, 10 Thing I Hate About You and Pride and Prejudice (2005).

  13. My girl 1 & 2, clueless, Melancholia (no idea why), Marie Antoinette (Kirsten dunst version) practical magic, grumpy old men 1 & 2 and also the tv show Roseanne. Lol

  14. LOTR or Doctor Who for restoring faith in humanity, Legally Blonde for the moments when I hate studying, Pride and Prejudice 2005 just for the wholesome feels.

  15. It’s not a movie but it’s a show called 9-1-1 lone star it’s about these firefighters who moved to Texas after one of them overdosed and that was the kid of the other firefighter and it’s slays

  16. My guilty pleasure is 'Memoirs of a Geisha' because I know its historically inaccurate and not written by a former geisha. Its dramatic, cathartic and beautiful.

  17. Superstar, What We Do in the Shadows, the Mamma Mia movies, the entire Twilight saga, But I'm a Cheerleader, This is Spinal Tap, The Cat in the Hat movie with Mike Myers
