With the redemption event with Shoppers, can I use my points to buy GameStop gift card ? Thanks !

  1. PC Optimum™ points cannot be earned or redeemed for any of the following: (i) the purchase of tobacco, lottery tickets, or alcohol, (ii) deposits (e.g., a water bottle deposit, as it is not a purchase), (iii) gift cards, prepaid card products and wireless or long distance phone cards, (iv) transit tickets and passes.........

  2. Can't use pc optimum to buy gift cards since some scammers hacked into a bunch of accounts and did just that a few years back. You could buy something, then get a refund and use the refund to buy gift cards though.

  3. I posted about this in the past, i had people recommend maybe shopping at a lablows or superstores for $50 and essentially being able to redeem $50 for gift cards. Can be used for groceries or whatever. Or if someone going for groceries u can just add that gift card purchase and redeem

  4. You're just buying gift cards using your own money with extra steps. Getting groceries at Loblaws (or their sub brands), paying with your points and you'll end up with more money in your wallet or bank.

  5. I worked at Gamestop for 4~ years and we had a regular who would use his Optimum points in brand new games and trade them in with us, and use the store credit to get gift cards. We had two “used” copies of Sword and Shield on launch day (when they really had never been opened). They used to do a deal where you’d get $50 for a game within 30 days of its release but I think they changed it and it might be worse now.
