What Kevin McCarthy said, and didn’t say, about Trump and the Capitol assault

  1. McCarthy: "Let me be very clear to all of you, and I have been very clear to the president. He bears responsibilities for his words and actions. No if, ands or buts. I asked him personally today, does he hold responsibility for what happened? Does he feel bad about what happened? He told me he does have some responsibility for what happened and he’d need to acknowledge that."

  2. I've basically been in disbelief since Biden was nominated because he made it clear he has no interest in addressing republican terrorism. It's strange, everyone says the 2020 election was about hatred of trump, yet we nominate the one guy who ran on working with Republicans. How in the hell did that happen?

  3. A blatant lie exposing him as a total hypocrite by actual audio tapes like this should be the end of his career yet he’ll probably still be speaker after November. It’s amazing how low our government has fallen.

  4. Dude is a liar, verified by audio tape. Why do we as a whole accept this type of bullshit from out politicians? Either side, any party whatever, when did it become acceptable to lie? Sink all the liars careers.

  5. He's crossed into the territory where the interest is no longer in his lies. He is now interesting because he is in a demonstrably obvious position to confess the truth.

  6. Kevin McCarthy's complete lack of courage is what got us to this point. Now he seeks the gavel. What say you America? Do you follow cowards?
