I don't like whiskey. is it normal?

  1. I find that most people who say they dont like whiskey are those who have only tried jack Daniel’s no 7 or some shitty blended scotch. I too strongly disliked crap whiskey early on and it was the better stuff that got me hooked. Not saying you should blow your budget but perhaps try something like Buffalo trace (on the cheaper end) or something a bit more premium.

  2. Dude, of course it's normal to not like whiskey. Almost certainly by far the majority of individuals in the world who've tried whiskey don't like it. Why do you want to like whiskey so much? The hype of bottles? Is it a social thing, to drink with friends or family? I promise you, there is absolutely nothing shameful about not liking whiskey, don't force yourself to drink something you don't appreciate just to fit in or something like that.

  3. The world of whisk(e)y is so vast that it’s almost guaranteed you’ll find something you like. If you look hard enough.

  4. Personally I find Vodka and Whiskey go down the easiest. Tequila and Rum gives a worse hangover type effect for me. If you can't stand the taste, try it on the rocks or with garnishes. If you still don't like it, try a mixed drink. It's also important to get a higher quality whiskey as it'll be smoother. I also still can't stand beer. Tastes like plastic.
